Every once in a while there comes along a kindred spirit and you can't help but become the greatest of friends. And when you're really lucky, that friend comes along with a whole family of kindred spirits that matches up just right with your own family. And so it is with the L family (who unfortunately has moved too far away). Anyhow, we spent our memorial day weekend visiting them, and had great fun just hanging out.
It's a treasure to know that these friends share our sense of spontaneity and adventure, and that they (surprise!) actually enjoy the same things we do. So, here's to many more travels together, sharing visits in our homes, camping trips, and down the road even more exotic travel (right?). In the meantime, here's a pictorial of our weekend adventures.

If only there were a method this easy to address behavior problems... (Note the "mean" looks on the kids faces - put them behind bars and they morph into hardened criminals)

I love my punk rock ice cream girls.

Nobody can zone out quite like K2 and daddy. What entranced them so? I think it was an episode of Little Einsteins...
And finally, what trip through Wyoming would be complete without riding saddles at the local McDs? This is about the only thing that stretch of I-80 has to offer.
