I Left My Heart in Denver

I had to go to San Francisco last Friday for a day of meetings, and was able to experience - if only for one short day - the life of the working adult. It was glorious, to say the least. Glorious in a way that I knew it was only for one day, and that I could return to my beloved babies and daily frustrations soon enough :). It is so strange to me how it can seem so difficult and strenuous to stay home with the kids all day long, but the minute I have the opportunity to leave them I miss them like crazy. And what any parent can tell you is that the very best feeling in the world is to know they missed you like crazy too. Though they definitely had fun with B, who enjoyed immensely the opportunity to take the day off work and spend all day with his kiddos.

There isn't much new to talk about... we all continue to plug along and have been enjoying fall and its unpredictable weather changes. Though I still can't believe how fast the time is moving and that October is half over and we haven't even visited a pumpkin patch yet. The fall festivities begin this week however, with visits with friends to various fall activities and the beginning of some great halloween parties. I'll be sure and post pictures of my little goblins.

In the meantime, here is a favorite of K2 shortly after waking up. K1 was upset about something, and wouldn't stop whining. This was K2's reaction, which summed up the moment just perfectly...
