So according to K-squared, the reason we celebrate Easter is because Jesus died. I'm happy that they retained at least half of the story, despite my continuous efforts to explain the resurrection. Though if someone can tell me a good way to explain to a 2- and 3- year old what it means to rise from the dead and why that's significant, I'd like to know. K2 also believes Easter is about chocolate and 'wearing my yewwow dress'. Somehow I didn't even have to teach her that.
Easter was lovely despite the weather - snow all weekend. The family came over, each bearing gifts for K-squared, so after a lovely Easter dinner it felt a bit like Christmas.

The Easter bunny actually made a delivery to our house this weekend, a little something for the entire family. Her name is Maisy (as in Dr. Suess' Daisy-head Maisy) and in two days she has integrated herself quite nicely into the family. She's a 9-week old dachshund/maltese mix and seemingly smart as a whip (which means she and I get along famously). I'm not sure how I feel about potty-training yet again, but K2 and Maisy can do it together I suppose.

Had it been my decision and my decision alone, we probably wouldn't have Maisy, but I have three very persuasive arguers who were not going to take no for answer. So, we are now a two dog household and Maisy and Murphy are fast friends. And so, the face of our family changes yet again. Oh, but isn't it a cute face?
