The Ramblings of A Sick Woman

So I've been sick today, which is never a fun thing to have to deal with when raising two preschoolers. K-Squared had the stomach flu earlier this week, and I reveled in taking care of them - just snuggling on the couch and letting them sleep on me. However, I had quite convinced myself that it was impossible for me to get their illnesses - today proved me wrong. I've pretty much been knocked on my a** - I can't remember the last day I laid around and accomplished nothing. It's not a feeling I like. Thank heavens for the laptop - at least I could do a small amount of work! (To give you an idea of how out of it I am, one email to a reporter took me a good hour to compose). Anyhow, much kudos and praise go to my beloved B, who took the day off and kept the kids corralled and let me rest.

We went down to ABQ for the weekend to see my family and Grandma B and Grandpa D. We always love our trips down there - I love to remember my youth and all of the growing up memories I have of that place. Plus, you can't beat the food! It was great to be with all of my family - we always have such a loud, crazy time together. I hate that our trips down there are always so short - it feels like we never get to spend enough quality time with those that we love. So sorry Grandma B and Grandpa D - next time we'll do it up right!

I have to post pictures of my Pretty Princess. She demands to be called this - she is not a big girl, she is a Pretty Princess. So when we need to bribe her or get her to do something, we just remind her how a Pretty Princess would act. She has so much spunk - I wish it came through these words to be witnessed first hand. I relish her attitude - I know it will drive me nuts over the years, but I wouldn't change it for anything. I hope she is always so obstinate, so opinionated and so confident. I am blessed with two very gregarious, outspoken and demanding children. I wouldn't have it any other way.
